Getting Started

We offer Managed WordPress services to all our customers. If you sign up for a Managed WordPress plan, we will look after some of the technical aspects of your website. This help article explains the standard features of our Managed WordPress plans.

Script Updates

The developers of WordPress regularly release new versions that address security concerns and add more features. When a new WordPress version is released, it is highly-recommended to update your installation as soon as possible to patch security risks.

The updates released may include both minor version updates and major updates.

When you sign up for a Managed WordPress plan with us, we will update your WordPress to the new version when it becomes available. This includes ensuring any installed theme and plugin compatibility with the new version.

Plugin and Theme Updates

Your theme and plugin vendors also release updates regularly to address security loopholes in the code, and to improve existing or add new features. When an update becomes available and you are on a Managed WordPress plan, we will perform the updates for you, ensuring a smooth transition from the old versions to the new ones.

We will be in touch to let you know if there are any issues during the update, such as when the plugins or themes do not work as expected on their new versions. In some cases, we may also be able to recommend alternative themes or plugins for better compatibility with the current WordPress version.

Automated Backups

If you host your WordPress website with us and are on a Managed WordPress plan, we will set up automated backups for your website. The frequency of automatic backups will depend on the Managed WordPress tier you select as well as on your existing web hosting plan (especially server resources and storage allocated to your plan).

We can also configure and perform automatic backups to a remote server or make the updates available for you to download for offline storage upon request (additional charges may apply).

Service Exclusions

The following services are not included in our standard Managed WordPress plans:

  • Content and layout changes: We will not make any changes to any existing content on your website, such as editing text, changing designs, adding or removing content, etc. We will not be making any changes to the existing layout of your website.
